To receive letters is the highlight of the day for imprisoned activists! If you would like to write a letter or a card I would appreciate it. Please tell me what is happening in your life or what’s on your mind. I can’t promise to answer every letter or card. I could be occupied with work or studies. Both incoming and outgoing mail can be opened and checked by the prison staff. It is not allowed to send in food or drinks.
The address to me during my sentence is: Martin Smedjeback, Asptuna 1, 145 65 Norsborg, Sweden.
It is not possible to call me during my sentence and I will have no access to internet. I will share a few updates on Facebook now and then with the help of support persons who I will call or send (snail)mail to. If you give any comments on my Facebook-page they can tell me about it. Send a friend request or follow me on Facebook if you would like to get my updates from prison.
The biggest support I can receive is if you want to do something for the animals. Perhaps write a letter to the editor of a newspaper about animals rights, perhaps write a politician with questions about how s/he can stand up for animals or you can join an action, network or organization if you are not already doing this. By hearing about what all of you are doing for the animals gives strength and hope.
Until the 7th of November you can write me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any questions during my prison sentence you can ask Staffan at email@example.com.
For the animals,
